Got Bass?
I have a Hifonics BX1605 that is going back in my 95 Blazer pushing 2 10" RL-i's when I re-register the car. Hifonics uses blue LED's to light up their logo on the front of the amp. My Blazer is a dark red w/ tan interior and I don't think the blue matches to well so I figured I'd change it.

First I tore apart the amp, carefully of course.

Found this circut board with 9 LEDs soldered to it

Gonna order a bunch of reds from Oznium.com solder them to the board after I remove the blue and then put it all back together

Red and Blue leds often have a different operating range of amperage. Be sure to purchase the correct value resistors to parallel or series connect to ensure the new red LEDs do not fry your amp board.

Thanks for the info, but I already knew that. I should have warned others if they want to do this. If anyone else tries this be sure to put the right resistor on!

You can buy LEDs with resistors on them that just need any 12V source and they'll turn on, good for lighting noobs, however they probably wouldn't work for this application since usually the LEDs with resistors on them are much larger.
