Little help for when I make my "box"

Alright, this can get real confusing so read carefully and think about what I typed, lol. Ok here we go.

I recently bought 1 12" Alpine Type X sub, and an air ride kit. Now the air ride kit must go in the trunk along with the tanks. So that leaves 1 spot to put the sub, the back seat area.

Now i'm going to take the back seat out, get some MDF fiberglassed and painted and put it where the back seat is on the sunfire (so where the part you lean your back on is) and right below that will be a small amp rack for my 2 amps.

Now here's another few questions. How will that sound? Which was should I have it turned? Cone towards the trunk? Or away from it? Could I possible put MDF if the trunk to somewhat turn the trunk into a box? Also should I "port" 1 side of this fibreglassed board where the sub will go?

I know this is a SQL sub, but i'm looking to get a little more SPL out of it.

if you are gonna put it where the back seat is, i would say close off the openings to the trunk (hole where you can fold down the seats, and the rear speaker openings and whatnot) and then have the sub and port firing towards you (front seat)

just my 0.02 ohh and if you are looking for a sub amp, i have an american bass 100.1 for sale, it puts out 1000 watts if you are interested

By closing off all opens openings do you mean fiber glass the whole back seat area and leave a little port above the subs cone facing towards the front and not the rear?

Also, that amp is nice, but it's 989.6 watts at 1 ohm. I need something around 1000w RMS at 2 ohms because mines a 4 OHM sub and I don't really want to go down to 1 OHM. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

ur canning a sunfire? holy bejesus u better drag atleast. it better not be yellow with two wings either. i cant imagine what it will look like.

as far as your system, glass everything in the trunk. glass the sub in the corner of one side, the tank in the middle, and your amps on the other, or something like that. compressor deserves to be under your car........and u deserve to put it there. its not a pretty sound to have in your car no matter where it is.
