Nope, and I have no idea what the dell diagnostic tool is, not sure if mine has it but I will look.
EDIT: It looks like that diagnostic tool is similar to a recovery partition, which I do not have...

Usually if you go to bootable devices in boot (f12) it'll say dell diagnostic at the bottom, usually the basic one is built into the bios if I'm not mistaken

I got this when I booted with F12:

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable.PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM.

Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key

Do you have boot selection menu enabled in the bios? Sometimes they disable it by default

If not then I'll agree with ya it's the board likely

No, I've never seen anything dealing with a boot selection menu in the bios.

Ah, certain models of laptops have it in the bios and disable it

I'm willing to bet a board for that laptop is an arm and a leg, whats the dell service tag for that model if you dont mind me asking? Should be 6-7 digits on the back

There is no Dell tag on it man. I know Dell owns Alienware but this computer doesn't have a single spec of anything that says Dell anywhere, everything says Alienware.
