hey so im picking up a 12" fi btl soon and need to build a box for it. im going for SPL. new 09 style 12 loaded d2 coils

is what it is. i was wanting to know how much ft³ and what kind of port, ect. everything i would need to know to biuld it. this is first build btw. have all tools required just need specs and maybe steps.

Power will determine box size but probably between 1.75-2.5 ft^3. If your going for pure SPL you will want lots of port tuned 4-5Hz below vehicle tuning.

Enclosures:
BTL 12 – Ported box we recommend using 1.75-2.5 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz (I personally think that a 32hz tuning is optimal, and has the most output and is still the most musical daily driving). Use 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume.
