2 ways as far as Components? Or Coaxials?

Components are:

RE XXX comps

ID CX62/52

There was some cadence comps, and MAYBE some polk comps were 2 ohm.

Not 100% sure though.

Can be either. I was told the stock 02 ***** Am speaks are 4 Ohm so 2 Ohm speaks will play much better on HU due to 2X the power.

Possibly, I'm not sure if the internal "amplifier" on a stock head unit can handle a lower impedance, I've never even begun to think about that.

If the internal HU amp CAN do 2 ohms (and I wouldn't count on it) I wouldn't expect much if any more power and I would expect a lot more distortion as well as the HU getting a LOT hotter. In many cases 2 ohm comps aren't much louder with 2x the power than 4 ohm comps simply because they are less efficient.

I don't know if I'd draw 2 ohms out of a stock head unit, I could see problems...

Actually they are powered by the Monsoon amp that is supposedly 30W to the doors. Would that in effect mean 60W@ 2 Ohm?

half the impedence doesnt always mean twice the power. i woul say especially in factory hu's.

I wouldn't expect the monsoon amp to be 2 ohm stable at all.

look at the jbl gto line. Very nice comps for a even better price.
