Line out converters any good

i am wanting to keep my stock head unit but dont want that crappy of sound quality. are line out converters any good? will it loose sound quality? also which one is the best one to buy?

I would get this STINGER SGN11 HIGH POWER FIXED LINE OUT CONVERTER NEW - eBay (item 260690107480 end time Dec-08-10 19:31:56 PST) and SQ isn't as good as with a aftermarket head unit but it isn't bad either

yeah i mean im not doing any comps or anything just for my own plus i dont want to spend a ton when i probably will take it out in a year or two anyway

use those line out converters and run the signal into a nice eq or line driver it will sound alot better

meh, I wouldn't touch a converter even on a eq....

why dont you want to use a aftermarket H/U?

dont have the extra money for one and they don't look to good in the car. and im not going to keep the subs in the car for ever since its my parents car.

reason why i kept mine. Well that and i have jbl premium in it. The only ones that look good in mine are double dins..Singles look cheesy.

I use the pac "trunk-lok" for my subs..I love mine... Its around 20 bucks.

i use it just for my subs and it sound great...It has gain levels on the unit aswell so you can adjust the loc's output.

If a loc were to be used on highs i'm not sure how it would sound...But for subs i think it works fine.
