Line Out Converter

No problem dude, it was my pleasure. And yea, Ive been here for like half a year.

Ive spent a crap load of time working on my taurus's audio system, so I pretty much know how the whole thing works.

Anyways, I want to basically sum everything up everything weve talked about. So hopefully this will make sense to you now.

See, heres the thing. My ORIGNAL explanation was for using the amp you bought to power your interior car speakers. Since this isnt the case, your gonna leave your factory speaker wires alone.

I originally stated that you would have to cut the factory amp wires. Send the amp out wires into the LOC. Connect the LOC to you pioneer via RCA cable. And then send the speaker level outs back into your factory speaker wires.

Here is whats different. Since your pioneer amp is only for powering your subs. You arent going to have to cut the wires apart like it is in the pic I originally posted. That is only if your are using an aftermarket amp to power your interior speakers.

What you want to do is use the amp to power your sub. So instead of cutting into the wiring like in the pic I originally gave you. All you need to do is cut away some of the sheething so you can take the signal from your factory amp and send it directly to your pioneer via the LOC. Then all you need to do is connect the speaker level outs on your pioneer and connect it to your subs.

hey i have a '99 taurus, pretty much same setup. i want to use a LOC to convert my high level to RCA(or low level) and use the RCA outputs to put into my amp, to power my sub. the wires i use are the ones on the very far left right? open them up, connect the loc, and away i go? this thread has pretty much helped me figure everything out. im just double checking.
