Line out converter and fade question...

My father-in-laws Hu does not have rca's for front/rear speakers. If I use a line out converter to amp his comps in the front, will he be able to use the fade on his stereo? I am planning to amp his fronts and run the rears off of HU power but he want to make sure that he can still set everything the way he wants it. Any help is appreciated.

if you use the front speaker outs for the loc and have nothing connected to them other than that i don't see why you would lose the ability to fade front to rear.
