This is true. But unless you have an account with either you can't do multiple downloads at the same time.

I have done that quite a few times, I dont know why mine wont work.
Does anyone know of any other simmilar p2p sites?
Frostwire is the greatest. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif love it compared to limewire

Your ISP could be blocking the default ports limewire uses... try changing those ports through the application. But it is in your best interest not to use limewire.... try this if you're able to get limewire working again.

Do a fresh reboot of your computer and don't open up anything. Go to start->run and type in 'cmd'. From there enter 'netstat -n' and note the result. This will show all internet connections your computer has open or is trying to make to other hosts. There should only be a couple of connections if any at all. Then launch limewire, let it connect and sit for a few minutes. Shut down limewire and wait another few minutes. Do the same 'netstat -n' and you will probably see 15+ public IPs still connected to your PC. Limewire is written in such a way that the rest of the world can connect to your PC even after you shut down the application, and it also doesn't fully restrict the files you're sharing to the folder(s) you mark to be shared. People have read access to lots of files on your computer if you have limewire installed but not necessarily running.

Also, If I'm not mistaken limewire can be used to download torrent files as well.
It can, although I prefer bit torrent

People still use Limewire? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
I stopped downloading individual songs years ago...
Eh, its really convienient for me, and I like simplicity because im not good with computers

I still use LimeWire cause I'm old school like that. It works fine for music.
