I stopped downloading individual songs years ago...
yepI still use LimeWire cause I'm old school like that. It works fine for music.
All of my music is kept on a seperate drive than everything else, only that one drive is sharedYour ISP could be blocking the default ports limewire uses... try changing those ports through the application. But it is in your best interest not to use limewire.... try this if you're able to get limewire working again.
Do a fresh reboot of your computer and don't open up anything. Go to start->run and type in 'cmd'. From there enter 'netstat -n' and note the result. This will show all internet connections your computer has open or is trying to make to other hosts. There should only be a couple of connections if any at all. Then launch limewire, let it connect and sit for a few minutes. Shut down limewire and wait another few minutes. Do the same 'netstat -n' and you will probably see 15+ public IPs still connected to your PC. Limewire is written in such a way that the rest of the world can connect to your PC even after you shut down the application, and it also doesn't fully restrict the files you're sharing to the folder(s) you mark to be shared. People have read access to lots of files on your computer if you have limewire installed but not necessarily running.
kazaa lmao
I heard of morpheus, never used it thoughWasn't there one like Morpheus or something?
I still use Limewire for individual songs, works perfectly fine for me.
No vids or movies though
Damn, really?I still have some of my OG napster dl's
It doesn't matter what you have shared or not, it's not that difficult for someone who knows what they're doing to gain access to everything on your computer. If not that, then track what you are doing, insert key loggers. I'd HIGHLY recommend not using it at all anymore. If you do, I wouldn't recommend doing any banking or financial anything on there if you care about your identitiy. Torrents ftwAll of my music is kept on a seperate drive than everything else, only that one drive is shared
