I weigh 180lbs, I'm no tough guy. However there was a time where people didn't use nor need guns. People got along just fine then, why can't they now? The same can be said about any other kind of technological advance be it in weaponry or telecommunications.

What difference does it make how "smart" they are? I mean seriously you ever watch some of the "scholars" speak on tv? Some are left wing pro western Europe socialists who wear communist Russia flag shirts. They act like if they read it in a book they know everything about how people lived and ignored the struggles of the common people. They will also act like America is soooooo bad and down a deep dark path...guess what? we are still better off than 99.9% of those other countries and 99% percent of those idiots never lived in a true "rough" environment. People who go to IVY League schools are either filthy rich or exceptional in school but have 0 experience when it comes to growing up in the streets of a 3rd world country or even a second tier country. Put those same people in the rough spots in Brazil and they would think that was hell...thing is there are much worse locations than even that. Its the people who ***** and whine who get the headlines then you have the actual SMART GOOD PEOPLE who go to 3rd world countries and HELP someone who needs it. Just because you are smart does not mean you do not have a bad agenda or that they are not corrupt! Generally speaking "smart people" with power tend to think they can get away with whatever they want to because they forget that everyone is created equal because they have the "superior" education. Plus not only that just because someone is "book smart" does not mean they know how to implement that education into the real world and be successful..look at Obama's community organizing success..there is NONE.

hahaha, my wife and I got a laugh that you're so mad you called me an ignorant bastard. Bad things happen. People get killed. Its happened since Cain killed Abel (if you believe in that of course). If someone wants to kill someone a gun isn't needed. Just like if someone wants to protect themselves from being killed a gun isn't needed. I wouldn't feel any safer with a gun than without it is what I'm saying. So if I personally don't feel any safer with or without it then why do I need it?

for the guys who truly hate obama...cool, but even out of those guys i have to question ur reasons for not supporting him...it seems TO ME that alot of the examples that are being used are petty,exaggerated,or outright lies...

I pride myself on going out of my way to make different races/sexes/colors, feel comfortable when im around most my friends(most of whom openly bash whites)even though the same person im protecting goes home and says nig-ger more times than katt williams.

I'm not racist...in fact i love most white people, but u guys kill me with these bs facts about obama....just say what u really wanna say...

I wasn't just talking about "book smart". So are you saying that as long as all the politicians are living their nice rich lives, they won't do anything to help out the common man? Do we need to elect a bunch of poor people from the "street". Maybe you should run for something? There has been rich corrupt people and there has been poor people that become politicians and have been corrupt. Ethics is the difference, not being smart.

I'm not going to capital hill proposing legislation to ban guns silly. I never said anyone should think like me. REad all my posts. The reason I said it in the first place was because someone asked me where I stood on the 2nd amendment. I told my opinion and everybody got their thongs in a bunch. I don't care what others do. My best friend has been talking about buying a gun the past year, I don't care I just told him to take a concealed carry class. An older gentlemen I know from church always has his gun on him, I don't tell him I think its unnecessary. You can do the gun thing all you like, but there's no proven data that says you are safer with a gun than without it. As a matter of fact the opposite has been found.

you have the right to your opinions. i disagree. the facts and numbers get skewed as our population grows. i'm sure both sides of the political spectrum can also come up with different numbers and percentages.
