But hiya folks, I'm just a random kid in alabama who goes to UA(Roll tide). I've been into the audio game about 9 months or so now, I've learned alot but money is hard for me to come by so I've only had 3 setups, all of them crappy. 1st setup was an auiobahn 1208t in a prefab ported box off a Kenwood KAC-7202, wasn't loud at all, a few days later traded sub+box with my friend who had an S10. He had 2 12" sony xplod off a 1200w sony amp in a prefab ported box, somehow it was loud as balls(to me anyways, its the 3rd loudest setup I've ever heard) and moved lots of air, it was hard to sit in there or drink something in it. Anyways, I put his sub+box on my amp and it was much louder but I ultimately realized it sounded like poop. Around Christmas got everything reinstalled and it made a big difference, I was hitting lows now(which I didn't do before) and just sounded much better. That car breaks down, I take the subs out and I let me friend borrow my amp + box for his crappy audiobahns, big mistake. Not even a week goes by and shit got stolen out of his car, it leaves me pissed and he STILL owes me for my stuff. Onto my third and current setup. 1 sony xplod 12 in a sealed box on 200w RMS in a honda CR-V. This is easily the best sounding setup I've had yet, even though its not as loud as the first. Before I get bashed for my sub-par equipment, I never said it was the loudest, neither did I say it produced reference quality sound. Thats what I came here to learn about. I know all the loved brands here(critical mass, DD, Audioque, Ascendant Audio, RE, Fi, DC sound lads, etc.) and I will have a setup consisting of such in due time, but I'm a poor college student trying to save up for a new transmission and other things, so I have to put all that on hold. I do know a little something though, mainly just the basics however. Hope to be helpful and have an overall good time here, thanks for reading this longgg *** intro. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i dont know how u did it but you've succeeded in recieving the some of the nicest responses you will hear around here, dont get used to it tho

welcome

yeah i think it's because he did research first and didn't make the grammar nazi come out of everyone. Either way we all started somewhere.

WELCOME!!! and they are right don't get used to all the nice responses you seem to be getting. People on here are D-bags (sometimes).

A lot of people on here don't like Critical Mass... too expensive.

But welcome.

And, I say you toss the Xplods. I'd rather not have subs than Xplods //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
