people fail to realize that this list represents hottest mc's right now...based on album sale trends, concerts, TV appearances and such...at least that's what I got from the interview today on HOT 97...still probably a garbage list to me when it boils down to talent since the only artists I even like are Raekwon (OB4CLII is EPIC) and Jay-Z (even though I personally thought BP3 was TRASH), 50 hasn't been worth the listen since Get Rich to me so, the rest of the list is puke...but as far as popularity, album sales and the ever popular "swagger" MTV probably has their ducks in a row on this one...

not for nothing, I mean I like Em, but that relapse joint felt way short, even to the album consumers, so really outside of that drake track everyone is claiming is so hot and that diss track, what else has Em done recently? just curious, cause I've heard so little about him, his tour hanst/wasnt a huge success like some of these other guy's shows, he's not plastered all over the place and the ratio of Em to Wayne/Drake/Jay/Ross tracks on the radio has to be like 1:44 right now...I guess the Bruno thing counts haha...

lol at the bruno comment. But i mean relapse had some good shit on it. Beautiful was an amazing track. Careful what you wish for, same song and dance. Can't think of anything else really atm. But he was on i want this forever remix or w/e that songs called and he went hard on it

#1: Jay z - blows cant stand his stuff!

#2: Lil Wayne - old stuff from like 1995-2005 was sick but when u got famous his music started to ****!!!!!

#3: Drake - drake is decent

#4: Kanye West - blows i think

#5: Rick Ross - i dont think i like any of his songs!

#6: Gucci Mane - he's got some decent music but he's weird an i dont like a lot of his shit.

#7: Young Jeezy - shoulda been way better then 7. i like almost all his stuff plus the bass in his songs bangs!

#8: Fabolous - eh he's aight.

#9: 50 Cent - he's super gay.

#10: Raekwon - he sucks

see YOU think those tracks are dope, and thats totally fine, but we're missing how this list was comprised, they're rating these guys on present power in the industry...if they put two stages in downtown wherever the hell,USA right now and put Em on one and Wayne on the other, which crowd would most likely be larger right now? who sold more copies? whos songs are flooding the radios right now? who's videos are getting more play? and so on....
