Tonight is my dragons last night alive..

Honestly, kinda sad. My bearded dragon, had him for almost 6 years since I was 17, looks like hes on his last leg tonight.

He hasnt been eating much for a month almost, and tonight I come home and hes at the bottom coldest part of the cage, he burried his arms in the sand, cant/wont open his eyes even if I try and touch him. Just goes into puff mode but doesnt move. His head shakes like michael J fox if you touch his tail.

This is the only pet Ive really ever had or cared about, just sucks I guess to not be able to take him out and have him eat out of my hand and follow me around

I know its only a lizard big deal right, but I treated this thing better than I treated my girlfriends lol, just spent alota time with him I guess, kinda like losing your first dog to me.

My friends actually all came by a bit ago to say goodbye lol, and if he dies tonight theres a funeral at our towns "pond" that me and my buddies used to chill at way back in the day, great friends lol, there idea to.

I used to have one. It died as a baby. A log that suction cupped to the glass was fault and the cup came off and crushed him. They are great pets. Id go get another.

but I thought any type of reptile lived for a good while....

3-10 years, I got 6, Im pretty sure he just got sick or something though, as he was perfect and fat a month ago, still full bore running from food and everything

He still looks dead today though, almost not breathing, the part that he keeps burying himself in the sand that bothers me the most, and way down in the dark cold part of the cage

Take him to the pet store or move the light closer to him to keep him warm.

take him to the vet..no joke find someone local that is specialized in dragons.

mine has been twice when he was younger...calcium problem.

My dog I had for 16 years had to be put to sleep back in May. Really sucks. Recently got a new pet, new puppy - but I still miss my old one all the time. You will feel sad for a few days and then start realizing it is better now that the pet isn't miserable/dying a slow death anymore.
