Lights still dimm

I did big 3 this afternoon and i just went for a drive and my head unit doesn't hardly dim but my headlights are almost flashing there dimming so bad. Whats the next step?

Replace your stock battery with the largest deep cycle you can fit. Such as an optima yellow top.

I just got a new battery I didnt have the money at the time for a yellow top but i got a Energizer for like $100 the next up was the red top and the yellow top. I would tell you the specs on it but its dark out side.

Doesn't matter.

You need a deep cycle.

I'd suggest getting a yellow top for the rear right now.

yea man go get a deep cycle... You can get some decent kirkland marine deepcycle batteries for 55$ at costco

You don't want that shit inside your car.

You need a sealed, maintenance free battery.

You wire it in parallel.

Take the power wire from the front, and hook it up to the battery. Mount the battery and ground it in the rear.

Then run your amplifiers off the rear battery.

What is your stock alternator output?

OK kool I can do the wiring thats not hard. Now im not sure but i just looked up the output of a stock alty and i think it said 70 amps.

Car on with no bass 14 volts. car on with bass 12.5ish volts. car on with bass and with headlights 11.5 volts.

You don't need a new battery to keep your headlights from dimming. Just wire in a power cap. into your system. They're really cheap, and you only need .5 Farads per 500 watts. That should keep your headlights from dimming. Paired with the deep cycle, your system should be in great shape

with such a low amp alternator, i'd consider getting a high output alternator

Get a YellowTop battery up front and if you can, get one in the trunk. Dont waste your money on a cap. Take the advice of people that posted above.

Make every effort to replace that stock alternator.

yeah ive been here long enough to know caps=FTL. 2 yellow tops at $180 a pop + HO Alty i'll need a few more dollars.
