light and strong

My daily system is made from Baltic birch. Expensive yes but in the longrun it creates a hell of a lot less sawdust than MDF. BB however does have it's pros/cons just like any other wood.

I hear birch hates babies and kittens. Oak told me that behind the wood shed. Oak also said birch complains about his large shade, so birch must also hate fatties......

@wew lad, Because somebody has to give some BS smart ass reply to a question not even directed at him. That's what instigates it.

Btw, thanks to the OP for answering my question.
Lighter and stronger is going to tough to find. In all my years of construction experience, the strongest woods we use are layers of wood laminated together (LVL, LSL, PSL, and Glu-Lam). Bamboo is actually heavier than birch and extremely expensive.

You sure are an emo. I wasnt even talking to you. Take your sensitive **** and stick it up your ass.

You answered the question that I was asking the OP. Your post had no redeeming value. We're supposed to be helping the guy out by answering his questions, not doing a stand up routine.

OP, what density, strength, and weight are you going for? That hemp wood is interesting and very renewable. Denser than MDF and 20% stronger than oak, just not sure how much it weighs and price per sheet. Do you know where to buy a 4'x8' sheet currently?

Don’t worry about what I do nanny bob.

So, don't **** on the thread by TRYING to be funny. Answer the question at hand. The OP asked a legitimate question and deserves a legitimate answer.

OP, you might want to look at Banova Ply. It is made with Balsa wood and 50-70% lighter than most plywoods. Not sure how much it costs though.
