I had to take my system out in order to sell my van, and so I've been driving it around with the stock Infinity system. I cannot listen to music while driving anymore. It has no appeal, because it has no punch, no muscle, no impact... the highs are lazy and soft the mids are muted and dull. Bass is non-existent.

Because of this, I have been listening to AM radio because that's interesting at least. Music in my car just doesn't hold any appeal any more. At least hearing how the liberals are ruining America makes my blood boil a bit.

This happen to anyone else?

When I ride in my mom's BMW I feel the same way. I don't really even like listening to the music, the stock system is to be laughed at. It is extremely lazy, and music without bass is painful to listen to; knowing a part of the frequency range isn't being represented makes me sadz.

Yeah I hate getting in cars with stock radios, cause I have that itchy finger to turn it up, and realize it sounds horrible, and I hate not being able to listen at a loud volume and sound good doing it. But makes my car SO much more enjoyable when I get back to it

Even worse (i think) is riding with someone that believes their "system" sounds nice and they turn it up... I usually do the "no no" and reach over and turn down THEIR system... I feel like an ***, but it's annoying.

lmao. i had to drive my new car for 2 months without a system....was killing me. then you get in someones car and hear their stock 6x9s begging for mercy and you are like dude dont you hear that distortion....and their response is either what? or i dont care.

x2 i do that all the time. I don't feel like an *** because i'm keeping their system from sounding like ***.

And to the origional poster. I know how you feel. I don't like listening to music in my car right now. I've had the 8's out for a while now because i am selling them. I hate it without any low end in my music.

I know, I feel old saying that, but it is true. If you don't think so, then you have a lot of growing up to do.

There is much more I would rather enjoy, than spend money on than car audio, which is taking care of my family first and foremost...........then Home audio, lol!
