life is killing me right now...

not while one of these life's is on the line
plus there's a time and place for everything, doesn't mean you have to throw in both everywhere

Hope your child turns out well, but what are the other things that have been going on that also get you worried?
yea i guess he was trying to make light, i wasnt going to comment, didnt want to start anything...

well we found out not too long ago that we are going to be parents again, so thats the good, but directly after that my aunt falls into a downward spiral with her brest cancer and shes been given "days" to live by her dr's, although i have another vehicle the transmission in my car went out, so i have been forced to deal with that and it's hefty price tag not to mention the inconvenience...

my son has just been wicked sick the last 4 weeks and no one has been able to tell us why, this fun loving kid who lights up when he sees people walk into a room is like all of the sudden in a depressed state or something, and it's obvious that hes in some type of physical pain with his facial expression and the sweating and so on, he doesnt cry much, hes tough in that respect...but then we finally found out a few days ago that there were some abnormal signs and that we needed to get the cat scan done, and the preliminary results show something isnt right...so im hoping tomorrow its something simple, but in the brain area, i dont think there is much room for hope...but i will continue to grind it out...

When it is your thread and your child, I will take your opinions into consideration. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

just like bad timing man...im not ready for the laughter just yet...but i know (hope) your intent wasnt ill...

wow dude i really know how you feel my closest aunt just died of a brain tumor and she was only 34 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

sorry about all that and I hope ur son and aunt get a second chance

Did they tell you anything more? What signs were up that made them want a CT? Did they say anything specific in the preliminary results?

Sweating? Well, that's interesting... has he had any visual problems, racing heartbeat, high blood pressure (for a kid), etc.?

I really can't imagine if my son (2 y/o) were going through something like this, and I can't imagine the frustration of not being able to understand some of the things they are talking about, too... sometimes in medicine we tend to use alot of terminology that we don't realize others don't understand... like I said, I'd be happy to lend any info I can if you have any questions. Just shoot me a PM.

well he's been sweating so bad over the last 4 weeks, it might seem minor, but it has to be related, id seen him lightly sweat a handful of times in 2 years and now he sweats like me when i cut the grass just when he's watching TV. Then he started grabbing at the top of his head, we were thinking headaches, they initially said he might have something wrong with his eyes, his eyes were checked, but they said they were fine, but they are sensitive to light right now, they said he could have "xxx" so we were like ok, what do we do? and then just a week ago, he was walking outside and just fell face first onto the ground, like a body drop and he was motionless, at first i was like well he's ok, so i ran over to him to comfort him from falling, and noticed that he was completely silent and just not moving, but he was making an awkward noise...i picked him up and he was just giving me this zombie look, his eyes were both pointing to the right like he was looking at something...and he was covered in sweat again...i rushed him to the hospital and they were thinking that he might have epilepsy, so they ordered the CT scan...so there we are...we're going to find out in the morning i guess...

Hope things turn out well. Prayers go out to your kid and family. Its hard to get bad news about your kids. My oldest daughter was born deaf. I know its not the same but I do know its hard. I have a good friend who was diagnosed with a brain tumor when he was around 16-17. they couldn't remove it but they have been able to control it with medication. Hes in his mid 30's now.

Good luck and I pray for the best.

so many things piling up on me over the last few weeks...just got back from the dr visit with my wife and son, and my poor little 2 year old son may have a brain tumor...we're waiting for the scans to come back for a defiant...so scared.
gonna get out of the office here and go home...hang out with my boy...
