Already got the Optima in, the grounds of the big 3 done. Alternator was supposed to go in today, but the shop didn't have the right bracket, so that'll go in in a couple days.

Already ran the 1/0 to the back.

The Mojo amp takes 1/0 power and ground. The Rockford amp takes 4 gauge. I couldn't find a fused distribution block to take 1/0 and give me 1/0 and 4 gauge. So I will be running a 4 gauge power wire to the back as well, for the Rockford amp.

The Rockford 6x8 speakers are already in there, not to the Rockford amp yet obviously, a major upgrade from the stock speakers that were in there.

There's a JVC headunit as well. I chose it because it has a 3.5mm headphone jack [so I can hook to iPod\iPhone] as well as a USB input, so I got a 4GB thumb drive, love it.

This is all going in a 1997 F-150. The back seats fold down, so the box should sit right on there.

I didn't use any sound deadener. I also was curious about an EQ and crossovers. Should I get any of those?

holy fffuuuuuuu
is that 1/0 ofc?
The one that's already ran, and the big 3, no, "HPM SERIES 1/0 GAUGE HYPER-TWIST PREMIUM POWER CABLE" is what it says.

The remaining pieces, that will go from distribution blocks to amp and grounds, say OFC on them.

Did you check Amazon for distro blocks?
No, I didn't. I already got the 4 ga. wire though, so, sayin', I'll just run that back there, it's pretty easy in an F-150, shouldn't take more then 15 minutes.

Ran some more wires yesterday.

Took a 4 gauge from the power, and a 4 gauge from the negative side of the battery to the back into the ground block. The 4 gauge power is just coiled up there for now, waiting to see where I'll be putting the Rockford amp first before I cut the wire incase I cut too short. I know the 4 gauge from the negative side of the battery wasn't necessary, but, I have the extra 4 gauge, and figured what the heck.

The wire colors are all mixed up, I know, I'm sure it's confusing, but, I understand it, and they will all be hidden anyways, so I don't care.

Here's the ground block.

The orange 1/0 will be going to the negative of the Mojo amp, and obviously the 1/0 silver is grounded right there. The two 4 gauge wires are one going to the Rockford amp, the other is going to the negative of my battery.

I pulled the Tsunami 4 channel, and Stinger 2 channel, as well as the REM wire. I ran one REM wire to the end, then right before the wire pokes out, under the running board, I cut the REM wire, spliced it, and ran two REM wires off it, so one can go to the Mojo amp and one to the Rockford amp.

Looks good, also they have those Distribution blocks on quite a few sites. I use Knu Konceptz and love their service, but looks like you already did what you were going to do.
Good luck on rest of the install.
Yea, didn't look around TOO hard, didn't see any on here, or on eBay, so I said F it, did it this way.

Thanks, I'm getting excited. I'm almost thinking about getting a sheet of wood cut to the dimensions of the folded down back seats, wrapping that with some of the matching material, then laying that across the back, so it covers everything back there [the black plastic\metal] so when the box goes in, you won't see black around the edges where it's sitting. Probably wait and see how it looks first.

what kina truck u gat dere?
F150. My first truck, always had cars before, I like it. Like sitting up higher then everyone else, it's just a pain to park, I always have to reverse and straighten up. And reversing out of spots, blows, backed into two cars the first week I got it, luckily didn't do any damage to either vehicle.

Sir, those wires are run beautifully //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif kooooooodos.
Thanks. My first time doin' it too. I had always gone to shops to get stuff installed, never again.

Looking good. I'm not a big fan of your grounding. It may be effective grounding but it doesn't look it. I only say this because you are running some large amps. If it was a bullshit 500 watt amp I wouldn't have commented about it.

In my truck I ran a 2 gauge ground wire through a grommet in the floor to the frame and then I ran a 2 gauge ground wire from the frame in the front to the battery

Man those are sweet looking woofers! I can't wait to see how this turns out!

How would you recommend I change it?

This is my first install, so I'm still learning and open to help/suggestions.

That's looking like it's going to be a pretty nice setup. You're doing it right from the beginning. I can't tell you how many people I know who mess it up the first time and spend tons of cash trying to correct it, sometimes over years of time. BTW, with that battery, never jump it. I found that out the hard way. It needs to be trickle charged should it ever die. I'm on my second D34/78 under the hood of my Caprice because I jumped it this winter when it died on me. I killed one of the cells. It was crackling. Learn from my mistake there.

Thanks for the heads up on the Optima. Yea, should be nice, looking forward to finally getting it running.

Should have the alternator in tomorrow, box this weekend, so early next week we should be running.

Bad timing though, the week I get it all in, I start a 30 day suspended drivers license.
