I know a couple of members on here have a multiple alt setup and im curious to see how everything is plumbed in regards of wiring it up to the batts. I believe my car has externally regulated alt, which might cause an issue with adding the 2nd one? Im confused on what type of alt i need to add, i have a few that will fit but dont want to burn anything up. Heres a pic of my stock alt
On the back it has the red main post hookup, then another little wire goes to that too (i assume for the volt light in the dash) and theres a 2 prong plug that goes to it on the side as well. This is mainly what confuses me, i guess this plug is for the volt regulator? Considering autozones site says regulator plug clocking is 3:00 so im pretty sure it is.
