what is the pros and cons to using 4th order for walls? people with experience or input please respond.

what is the efficiency of the enclosure to other types?

does it minimize imp rise or does it increase. (i know theres no true way to know this, but people have supported facts)

doing a big build soon and am deciding between clamshell or 4th order, but leaning towards 4th order.

I believe I have read they have minimal playing frequency, but I could be wrong. any info could help me, thanks guys.

My blowthrough is a 4th order BP, play good around 30-60Hz. Tuned at 32Hz.

im pretty sure they have the potential to get alot lower.. but defently wont play as wide a range.. require probaly more space on average, more complex to build and if its not designed right will probaly sound horrible

wish i could help but ive just started messing with my bandpass,,so far it seems to be more efficient.

Usually the bandpasses are more efficient, and when properly designed can have a pretty good frequency range.

challenging situations sound fun as well but i have short patience. i still think i want to attempt a 4th order.

so far we have seem more efficient and frequency range is still good

any more input guys? this is going to be a giant challenge for me

Whats the rule of thumb as far as the chamber sizes go? For every cubic foot of the sealed enclosure, go with 2 cubes for the ported enclosure?
