I went to pepboys today and the punk busta fool that was working there told me the legal limit in louisiana for tint is 35% so i went and bought 2 - 35% boxes so i can cover my rear window and the 4 sides. Well i wake up nice and early today i go outside in the extreme heat and i clean my windows really good then i open the tint and i was pissed! The tint is barely dark, its easily visible i wanted something that at least makes it hard to see. Can someone tell me if they know what the legal limit in LA is for tint or how dark your tint is so i at least get an idea?? TIA

Where I am.... you cant PUT ANYTHING on the front windows but the back you can put anything.... I know it wont help you... but thats how it is here..

So i got the whole thing dark as you can //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

35% is fairly visible....that's why most cops won't bother you regardless of the state law.

CA is 70% legal, basically CLEAR. any tint shop around here will laugh at you if you ask for "legal." 30ish percent is considered "medium" and is pretty dang clean imo. i did it for my mom's and sister's rides, no tickets in the past 2 years. try doubling up on the 35% if you dont mind the extra work and risk. if you wanted dark shoulda gone "dark" (10~20%)

The legal limit in most places is 35%. Most people who tint usually go with 20% because you can still see in the car a little. I put 20% on my car and i am happy with it, at night you can't see in at all. Got a roll of 20% at autozone for $12, so try that and see what u think.

Look at my site, the windows have 20 and the back has 10...

13% all around, over 2 years, zero hassles from irvine po-lice

another shot of my car with my sister's in the background, he's got 32% all around, my mom does too. If you want clean and good amount dark, i'd recommend medium (30ish%) if you have a black interior. dark (10~20%) for other. i have a friend who has tint like mine all around and his looks way darker with his black interior. my sister's and mom's car also have black interiors making the medium tint look only slightly lighter than mine (i have grey interior)

and i only have more big *** pics cuz i just washed my car and debadged //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif mommys car is in the garage

I have a 5% all aready... never been questioned... and you cant see in no matter what you do... even with your face pressed against it...

And i can tell you this tho... having a SUV.. makes it alot easiyer... they dont question them as much

I Never Once got pulled over for the tint.

Dun worry, if you see a cop just roll the window halfway, and they wont notice it.

Yes - under North Carolina law,

© Tinting Exceptions. -- The window tinting restrictions in

subsection (b) of this section apply without exception to the

windshield of a vehicle. The window tinting restrictions in

subdivisions (b)(1) and (b)(2) of this section do not apply to

any of the following vehicle windows:

(1) A window of an excursion passenger vehicle, as

defined in G.S. 20-4.01(27)a. (2) A window of a

for-hire passenger vehicle, as defined in

G.S. 20-4.01(27)b.

(3) A window of a common carrier of passengers, as

defined in G.S. 20-4.01(27)c.

(4) A window of a motor home, as defined in

G.S. 20-4.01(27)d2.

(5) A window of an ambulance, as defined in

G.S. 20-4.01(27)f.

(6) The rear window of a property-hauling vehicle,

as defined in G.S. 20-4.01(31).

(7) A window of a limousine.

(8) A window of a law enforcement vehicle.

(9) A window of a multipurpose vehicle that is behind

the driver of the vehicle. A multipurpose vehicle

is a passenger vehicle that is designed to carry

10 or fewer passengers and either is constructed

on a truck chassis or has special features designed

for occasional off-road operation. A minivan and

a pickup truck are multipurpose vehicles.

(10) A window of a vehicle that is registered in another

state and meets the requirements of the state in

which it is registered.

So if you drive an SUV, you can tint your back windows however dark you want them. The driver's windows and windshield must comply with 35%.

I have a 3% all around on my windows, impossible to see through.

I have never gotten pulled over and many times rolled up to cops, bumpin my system, and they just stare but they still cant see me.. suckas
