Legal issues for an HID Kit install..

$40 in a business standpoint is not a bad lost. If I was a shop owner I would call her and say yes you can replace the lamps for free, but describe to them NICELY why it went bad(because it's cheap) and give them the option of either go back to stock with refunds or spend the money and get better ones. She's not smart enough to realize that you're not the one who made the lamps but hey I've served worse back in my Staples days.
Remember one happy customer will tell her best friend. One pissed off customer will tell the whole entire city.

while technically, they can't do anything to you as far as legal concerns...but it would probably be a wise business decision to make this right and move on. A $40 hit of cash out of your pocket and a little wasted time is probably better than the customers you could potentially lose (been running a small part-time shop myself for a few years now and have had to take a hit a few times to save my reputation) Customer is always right...even when they aren't

I beg to differ. I have run the xentec kit on my truck for well over a year issue free. and i get people flashing me everytime i drive. rather annoying actually...
what is annoying is having that cheap ass, bo-bo installed crooked fucking lights shining in my eyes because you folks can't understand cutoff.

Tell her to fuck off. HID kits should be banned anyway.
this ^^

**** her...its not ur fault that she picked out ****** bulbs...explain to her, SHE picked out the kit from a company, NOT U...NO SHOP SHOULD/WILL COVER ANOTHER PRODUCTS WARRANTY THAT THEY DONT SELL PERSONALLY...explain to her tht and say good luck...she cant win a claim against u, given the work was done properly

FWIW, when you fuckers with your fire hazard lights blinds me on the road i am veering towards you. sons of bitches

OP, if they do end up taking you to court, which I strongly suspect they won't, I would be a little worried because you did install something illegal... no afermarket kits that I know of are legal. I mean she wanted you to do it but regardless... Do you know if they are aware of this?

HID > Halogen

Its not our fault you fools didnt learn how to drive properly. Your supposed to look at the bottom passenger corner towards the shoulder line when there is on coming traffic with headlights.

your headlights shouldn't hinder others driving capabilities //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif i wish i had a fuckin q-beam in my shit so i could spotlight ya'll bitches in the eyes like ya'll do me. a lot of times i cant even see the fuckin white line because i have to squint to see the god damn dash.

edit: if your cutoff line was set right, this wouldn't be a problem

So BMW, Lexus, Buick, etc. shouldnt have HID's either because you cant see? Perhaps you should follow the road rules and you wouldnt have any issue. Any light Halogen or HID can hinder anothers driving ability if they dont follow the rules or aim their headlights properly.

ok over $95, the $75 for the KIT and installation and the $20 for her oil change BS check i would not worry about a **** thing. by the time she does try to sue your just going to go to small claims court IF THAT AND YOU WILL WIN! yup you will win. its just like a guy selling broken equipment on craigslist as working. you buy it you have mno way of trying to get your money back lawfully. You wanted it so you bought it. Same case with her. She wanted to go the cheaper route and she did. She WANTED TO so therefore she has no real backing against you. only the manufacturer of the HID kit, and in this case you would have to fight for the $$$ as you bought them.
