Hey everyone, a girl had me order and install a set of the cheaper ebay HIDs back in October for her grand am.. Well one went out, and I tried contacting the company to get the replacement but they never sent em to me, now the other is out already and shes pissed and says she is taking me to court because I refuse to refund her money for the lights. She asked to have me put the stock bulbs back in and I said yes, but she said nevermind I want the a new set for free, etc blah blah.. Shes a huge ***** and just wants me to do as she says..

Well he dad calls me tonight n says we want the stock bulbs back in and the money back, or were taking you to court..

Think they have a legit case, or what do you all think? I never warrantied the HIDs, they were supposed to have a warranty through the company, but they never pull through anyways.. What do you guys think of this whole situation?

Just out of my house, but I am a "shop" if you wanna say that, but nothing big like what your saying.. if that makes sense? lol

but I dont know.. people around here are dumb and just have me order stuff instead of them, plus i made a little on the cost of the item, but now its all bullshit.. I just don't know if I am fully liable and would lose IF they did bring me there, but I don't think they actually would, but who knows..

i dont see how they can actually sue you. Tell them to fuck off.

I'd just have proof that they were warrantied and that you tried to get replacements. Not your product and if the install was correct, which I assume it was since they've worked for a bit now, then I dont see how you can be responsible. Especially if it was just like a backyard job, just sounds like you were helping a friend out. Sad to see people are all sue happy these days.

pretty much, everyone is looking to get rich for any reason...

I charged her like $75 installed.. kit was like 40 bucks as it would be for anyones cost on cheap lights, and just a little for an install.. and it was a good install, professional looking and obviously if it wasnt done right they would have went out right away, or very shortly afterwards..

I have the emails from the company saying they will warranty the bad ballast, etc. so im good there, I have the harassing texts from her as well, and ALSO she brought it to some oil changed shop n paid em 20 bucks to tell her waht was wrong with the headlights when I woulda for free and found out for sure what it was, I still dont know if it was even a ballast.. (She wants me to pay her back the $20 for that too)

I have a pic of the car before they were put in, but that same day I was installing em, my buddy kiel ran my camera over with his rocket lol.. so no after pics..
