you guys need to work your long band muscles more than your short band muscles. for any explosive type sports: football, wrestling, extreme fighting, the most important weight training exercise you can do, in my opinion, is the "clean and jerk". this will make you explosive and quick.is this bad? me and my friends work out on mon wed and fri im about 5/6 and do 195 and my firend is 145 and does 215 he does it nautrally where as i use no explod. we wreasle for the hight shcool so we try not to gain to much weight.
