Some know that my house flooded again, and I moved. It's been about 2 weeks since I got my new place, and still have no had the time nor resources to pick up everything from the old place. My landlord calls me up today, and leaves me a message saying, "If you don't have your stuff out of the place by tomorrow at noon it's going in the dumpster." I call him up to make sure what was said was true, because it was 'Relayed' from the apartment manager, to my girlfriend and then to me. I ask him if what I heard was true, he said he has to get in there and get shit done. Says, 'I've only showed you my good side, but I'm about to show you my bad side'. I call the county Sheriff's department to see if he can legally do anything, I talk to a deputy, and he says there is nothing he can do, since I am willingly moving out on my own, and he hasn't given a formal eviction. About an hour later, I get another call from the landlord, 'When will you be able to get your stuff out by?' I say, 'I honestly have no idea, I'm trying to find a truck and trailer I can use so I can get everything out at once.' He says, 'It better be out by noon tomorrow, or else it's going into the ****ing dumpster, you worthless piece of shit.' I get pissed off, and I'm ready to go up there. I figure that wouldn't be the best bet, legally. I call up the deputy I talked to earlier, and asked him what should be done. He asked for the landlords name, and phone number. Says he's going to call him and let him know he can not legally touch any of my belongings, until 30 days after a legal eviction notice has been handed to me by a Sheriff's deputy. I haven't heard anything since then. I'm wanting to know, if he does throw the stuff in the dumpster, what would be my options to make a civil lawsuit, or even press charges?
