:ugh: my grandfather passed away (on my mothers birthday even, his daughter) and we have to leave tomorrow, which in itself sucks but to top that off we get to drive 377 miles each way in Hurricane Kyle, which is scheduled to make landfall right in Maine tomorrow!!!

thx chief, as long as the 'cane stays east we may be in ok shape... we are driving southwest so we will be going away from it. hope that helps.

he had a do not recussitate clause in his will... and friday everyone got together and made the decision to take him off his machinery. Within two hours he passed away. My mom said it was a very peaceful thing and it was indeed like he went to sleep.

yeah, its worse when they haven't been conscious for a few days and you don't get to say goodbye.....or when they didn't know who the hell you were for the last three years.....alzheimers ftmfl

yeah man thats rough. my family was able to basically "say goodbye" and give him permission to go. its just the way it is.
