Hey i have a Legacy 800w 4 channel amp. And for some reason when i turn the boost on my sub will make a strange popping like sound. And when i am about to turn my car on with no music playing it will make a strange popping sound. But when i turn down the boost it will no make that sound no more. But it gets more bass with the boost turned up. I am wondering why does it make the popping sound. Is there something wrong with the amp or what? Because when i turn it down it will work fine.

you have a weak ground....
Yup you was rite..

I still have a weak ground but i fixed it so i can turn the boost up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The problem is my ground screw is striped. I changed the screw but the part that it screws into on the amp is striped. So i cant really change that:mad:

Oh alright soo there basically not way to fix it then?
Ahahah no i am not trashin the amp.

This amp is good and puts out a lot of power into my sub.
Try turning the bass boost pot back and forth really fast a bunch of times with the amp off. If that doesn't fix it, it's broke and it will need to be replaced. Legacy is a garbage company. I can buy better amps at the flea market. Purchase yourself a nice used four channel in the classifieds.

Oh i will give that a shot..

But i notice it only does the popping sound when i bridge the sub.But when i don't bridge it, i don't hear the popping sound.. And i know the amp is bridgeable.

The only reason why i got the Legacy is because its my friends and i am just borrowing it till his car gets fixed witch will be never so yeah.

But it is hitting harder then my 200w amp for sure.
