Left side speakers just shut off!?!??!

I was driving home listening to NFL Radio at a very moderate level and my left side speakers (mid bass speakers, 4" driver, tweeter and rear fill in) all just shut off!!! There is quite a bit of static coming from the tweeter now.. I checked the amp connections and the x-over connections, they were fine.. any ideas?

Remove the positive lead from the three speakers and test the positive lead of one to see if it connects with the ground. If it does then you probably have a pinched wire somewhere.

Just took a short drive, it worked again for awhile then went out!! Any ideas, I'm gonna have a pro. look at it in a few days if it keeps up!! Thanks for the info so far sproket

The only other thing that I could think of... amp. Switch the sides of the speaker leads so the left is on the right side etc. Should help diagnose.
