I understand and wish I had some advice to give. Fought this same battle before and gave up. In for some advice though, good luck.
I think you expectations of those speakers is too high.... not too sure what your trying to achive
What all did you try? I am thinking of spray on deadener, but I don't know. These hard plastic door panels are terrible. Thought about spraying the back of these with many coats. But, Now I think some of it is in the floor. When listening to people talk (on the radio) it feels like if I was bare footed it would tickle my feet. These trucks have such thin sheet metal compared to the past I might just want to give up too.I understand and wish I had some advice to give. Fought this same battle before and gave up. So you coated the back of the door panels with fiberglass? Or put fiberglass insulation in the doors? I saw a guy do the insulation thing on here. Thought I might try it.I have a Tahoe 07 with fiberglassed door panels is the only way to get real good sound I have 4 10's and 2 super tweets in each door active and it sounds great

I cut the door panel right below the handles so there still there then I used birch wood as a backing and build rings. I then clothed and fiberglassing the whole door panel sanded it and bondo it then have an interior shop re-wrap in leatherSo you coated the back of the door panels with fiberglass? I think the factory cross is mounted right on the tweeter. So when the tweets came out so did the cross. I may be wrong. The guy that did the install is pretty good. I will ask him about that though. ThanksIf you are using factory wires could the stock crossovers that was wired in be holding you back some? I know the tweets gh ave them, do the mids get crossed over or are they full signal? Just a thought
