I cut the door panel right below the handles so there still there then I used birch wood as a backing and build rings. I then clothed and fiberglassing the whole door panel sanded it and bondo it then have an interior shop re-wrap in leather

Wow! That sounds cool. Got any pics? You say it made a BIG difference? Sounds like a big job, but may have to look into something like that. Did the 07s have the nasty hard plastic door panels?
