Not that same as using it everyday as your main computer. You were basically forced to use it. and since you've probably grown up with windows.. mac feels weird to you.

I can use both, but for multimedia.. its Mac to the rescue. Shame Noah can't use one in skewl.

I bought mine over the summer for college (my department is really particular on which computer I have to have). The rough specs on it are as follows:

-1 GB Ram

-ATI radion x750 graphics card (256 MB or something)

-Very nice screen

-Pentium M processor (whichever the highest option was)...this is good if you want a mobile laptop...and the actual speed is usually around 1.5x more than the recorded speed, so it competes with the p4 in clockspeed (kinda)

-and all other types of goodies

If you read old reviews of the site, some say that it took them forever to receive their computer. However, I got mine sent within the 10 business day limit...and that was during peak demand when everyone was buying laptops for college.

It appears as though the extra $200 is pretty much for the video card...so it depends on if you want the better graphics or not, and whether you prefer AMD or Intel. Both would be good, though.
