Lanzar OPTI2601D, best subwoofers? How hard can i push my alpines with these?

Ive got a lanzar opti2601d

ive got 2 Alpine SWR-1222D Type-R 12" subwoofer with dual 2-ohm voice coils at Crutchfield.com

alpine type r,

3-500 rms

i was running them at a final impedance of 2 ohm, so 1070 rms @ 2 ohm

Today my sub randomly stopped working, doesnt seem like amp or subs blown.

What would be a good subwoofer to replace the alpines?

Also what is the peak watt of my amp as i cant find it anywhere?

First off, don't worry about the 'peak' wattage of any amp, the types of amps we use here don't even carry a 'peak' rating. Second, check out soundqubed.com for decent priced subs.

I have an opti 4001d, it's a very solid amp.

I would imagine the one you have is good as well.

Optidrive is the only line from Lanzar worth owning. Those are pretty solid amps.

Peak power is basically meaningless. Most quality brands don't even mention it, and the cheap brands will print any ridiculous number they believe an uniformed buyer will fall for.
