Lanzar Opti1400D... .5 ohm stable?

Sucks to hear that. I've been running my 2000D for a year now. Started at 4 ohms with the 8200, now at 1 ohm with the mag.
Satisfied with the 2000d? Im looking for "as close" to 4kw, cheapest way possible. To be honest. Im running 4 10" Power HX2s.

Wiring options are:

1 ohm final

2 2 ohm loads

2 .5 ohm loads

strapped 1 ohm.

My MA Audio HK602SX is killing my electrical. This high current a/b class is pretty harsh for a daily system.

A pair of 2000D's strapped @ 1 ohm would do wonders, however they will certainly pull some serious current.

If you are looking for 4kw of power, you should have a full upgraded electrical anyway.

Not to mention you can get 2 Opti's for ~$600 shipped/authorized. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well what do you figure is suitable for 3-4kw?

Ive got 1/0 awg all around, big 3, stock alt., stock batt + extra yellowtop.

Not enough? Figure i need a H.O. alt, eh?

4kw @ 14.4v is 277 A current draw. 12v it's up to 333.

Upgraded alternator and a 2nd battery in the back. 1/0 runs front to back for + and -.

I'd do at least an alt and one more batt in the back.I run 1 4000d with a 300a alt and 2 batteries but am looking to do a third. My voltage stays pretty consistant around 14-13.9v except for heavy loads where it my go to 13.2v.

The 602 isn't bad and to do 4k your going to be getting some hella draw no matter what amp you go with.At least with the sx you can load it down to 1/2 ohm.

So you don't think the 602sx is an extremely overrated POS amp? What do you figure this thing really does @ 1 ohm? Rated 3600 @ 16v I believe... maybe 3kw?

by 4000d i hope you dont mean the hk4000d...you have a 300a alt and your dropping to 13.2?? wow..

edit: maybe you mean opti4000d? still thats some serious voltage drop... running the current hog that is the hk4000d i idle at 15v and never drop below 14 even running full tilt for awhile..

i have the bigger version..the 5082hx..mines does 4000@14.4v. check that 16v rating...

ive had 0 problems with voltage so far even running 1 ohm
