NO...you are poorly informed.
YOu got to be kidding buddy, Lanzar is pretty much trash in my book UNLESS you are talking about the Optidrive. They were nice IN THERE TIME.
OF COURSE I'm talking about the Opti's. While the Vibes may be a good choice if you're on a budget - they are without question in a totally different league than Optidrive. The Opti's are right on pace with whatever you want to put them up against, regardless of cost.
You may or may not be aware, but the power section of the Opti's has been basically the same since the late 80's - they were all ZED designed amps. The only major changes over that time was the heat sinks, obviously, and the addition of very high quality x/o's and a parametric EQ.
Up to 2003, the Optidrives have always been "in 'there' time".
I have experience with the early '90's opti's and the post 2k opti's. Trust me - they are still the real deal - and with the added processing capability I don't think it's a stretch to say they've clearly upgraded. I don't know what else you could ask for -- Rock solid construction, classy looks, significant power above and beyond mfg. ratings, excellent controls, SQ like specs.
Please - tell me what they're missing and maybe I'll be able to understand a little bit of where you're coming from.
The Jury is still out on the '04 models. They just showed up on Lanzar's website a couple weeks ago. They are the first all Sound Around Opti's that have been built. It should be interesting to see the outcome.
