I couldn't agree more. So many people ran out in the 90' and early 00's and got soft degrees in arts and pseudosciences, just to learn the world was not entering another renaissance period. While I think we do need our arts, when it comes to education, there must be a return on the investment. By all means, decide on learning to do what you want to do, but have a plan for it to sustain you. Even in the field of car audio, there are certificate generating courses involving electrical theory, electronics lab and such, that along with some experience, are bound to make you stand out over other job seekers.
