L7s weaker in port?

why does it say in the manual that the L7s only do 750rms in a vented enclosure. so it would be better to to with a large sealed one to get the 1000rms?

they are fine ported, my L7s handle the power fine, havent smelled a coil and i beat on em and they love it. port em, u wont be dissapointed
