hey guys, i have a single cab f-150 with two bucket seats. i wanna put one kicker l7 10" 4ohm downfiring in a console in the middle. do you think it would sound ok if its downifiring between the two seats and since the air could only escape on its sides which faces the seats? also how high should i make the box off the floor? 2,3,4 inches or what? thanks guys.

*edit* forgot to mention im gunna dynmat the floor as well as doors and walls. also ported is not the route im looking for since i dont have alot of room to play with.

literally, ur response scares me....lol
well there are two schools of thought that i've seen and i take knowledge by longevity of subscription so i wasn't sure. inverted = downfiring to some people since the cone is actually firing down whereas true downfiring is just normal mounting but on the rear baffle of the box (tilted 90 deg)

this is what i mean as far as the setup i wanna do. any opinions? as you can see the air will travel from each side of the box since ill use the front of the box to hold it up and since the back section of the cab is raised i wont need a support for the back.

I assume Polecat was sayin at least 2" of room from floor to SUB.

Are you building this yourself? Let us know how it goes, and take plenty of pics //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yes, 2" from the cabin floor to the first point of the sub...

we did this in the Van Hauler truck ( a replica of Eddie Van Halens truck) given away by a magazine...
