one of my friends was riding down the road the other yesterday and all of the sudden his 15" L7 quit working....he's running it off of a hifonics titan 1500, in 4.4cubes at 34hz....(doubt that would have anything to do with it though)....he claims he didnt smell anything that would be burnt vcoils (although he doesnt know what they smell like)...and the sub stopped suddenly, it didnt just start making no weird noices.....i figured maybe he could have burned up the small guage wire that he has ran to his sub, or maybe the rca's came unplugged from the radio or amp...(because the amp is still on, with the green light on)....btw he bought his sub refurbished...What do yall think the problem is????

could be a bunch of things start by checking all the connectings (sub to amp and all that good stuff) also push on the cone and see if it sounds scratchy and feels weird thats usally a good sign its blown but not always.

couldnt i check the wires coming from the speaker ,(instead of the terminals), with a dmm?...and if it reads what it should, what else do you think could be wrong??
