L7 Best 12" for the $$$$

i am looking into getting 2 brand new 12" L7s of the BAY....(ebay). are these subs the best SPL wise for the amount .....they r running $435 including shipping...any suggestions....

i will be upgrading from audiobahn alum12q's ..lol...they get quit loud

L7s are **** loud. and i would take them over alum12q's anyday.

but just wanted to add for referance that im sure this price(435) ^^^^ is for the pair

how much room do you have? 15s usually have a huge edge in spl if you can fit them

really really really really really hard to beat solos in daily/musical spl for the money. i gotta admit when you've been around enough good sq though those fart comments aren't too far off

They are insanely loud. If your worried about SQ, run them sealed and they will be fine. They need the recommended power though to stay clean.

1500 real watts or better for the pair.

12 l7s get crazy loud I mean Crazy loud some people rip on kicker but man they are really rippin on the installer dude. I have heard multiple square setups that were nuts(as well as 2 15" round solos sealed-another car I wouldn't wanna be in for more than 2 songs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif). Not my choice of sub though. But if you wanna get loud for a decent price do it man. I'd suggest buying them off of ubid though http://www.ubid.com/actn/opn/getpage.asp?AuctionId=10363775 refurbs, but authorized kicker dealer, you deal straight with ubid and the price for 2 s12L7s refurbished is 242 and change. You can get 4 from them for $50 more than the place ur looking at on ebay is charging for 2. Just my 2 cents.

the solo baric do get really loud, I'm just having a problem with mine because of the prefab box i have them in.

Not goin' against ya...But I would NEVER run those kickers Sealed. They sound really sloppy when they do. But thats just my opinion. They are more towards SPL and they will give that to you

they don't hold up very well....I have had 4 L7 Solo's and i love my bass and they don't hold up near as well as i thought....I now hae JL. In my opinion memphis and JL out on the market right now! I hit 123 w/ 1 L7 in a Kicker ported box made for the solo's

audioholic...shape matter nadda on a sub......as far as them holding up to the other poster, they do, if done correctly...I see many 2000 models still going all the time. Usually when one goes bad, it's bacuase it was overpowered, and pushed past mechanical limits in a ported box.

Sealed, they do sound good, but require a fairly larger enclosure...like 12's, 2.25 sealed per.

I love my L7s, they get really loud... I cant wait for more power, i only have somewhere around 400 going to each one. All i know is I like how they aound and they get loud, lol Im most likely the loudest person at my school with them.... Anyway This post was worthless im out

how would they match up with a a1500hct ...if u are familiar with that amp...its made by audiobahn...runs 1000 watts @ 2 ohms...2000 @ 1 ohm...d-class...umm and i would put these in a ported box of course..would the 15"s > the 12"s SPL wise...i dunno i like the punch 12"s have compared to 15s tho...yea from what u guys are saying...i am really thinkin bout getting these and getting a box built...any box dimensions reccomended..i dunno what the tuned shit means like " tuned to 35herts" and port dimensions...so could u guys gimme some input
