Ok I'm new to this so if I sound stupid, I'm sorry. I just bought a 12" L7 and its a 2ohm DVC. So will a KX 600.1 work for me or should I look in a different direction?

I only ask this b/c the KX 600.1 powers the full 600 at 2 ohms.

Again, sorry if I sound dumb.

The Kx600 will handle that sub at 1ohm perfectly

Kicker recommends 2 ohm minimum load on the 400 and 600.1.. And 1 ohm for the 1200.1. You can try running it at 1 ohm, but if you have problems, it might void any warranty.

true, don't reccomened to run under the rated 2 ohm load...

That amp will not have enough power at 4 ohms, try and trade it in for the dual 4 ohm model. If you can trade it in that amp will be pretty good for that sub.

that amp would be perfect if u had the L7 in a DVC 4-ohm. since you have a dvc 2-ohm, id look for an mono block amp thats 1ohm stable if you only plan to run a single DVC:2ohm subwoofer.

Yea i have the 4ohm dvc model. You think it will good, if not should i get the l5. THing is i can get an l7 for 150 new.

if it is a DVC 4, yes, it will do very nice, 600-700 watts

if you need 600+ watts at 1 ohm Orion 600D maybe?
