what can i use to push my 8w7?

i dont want a cheap explode but i dont have alot of money so what is a good bang for the buck??? i was looking a ppi i fond a 1000/1 for just over $200 what othere brand s should i check?

i would say a jl 500/1, or 1000/1....also look at the pheonix gold tantrum amps...they run full power at 1-4ohms....

2-4 ohms, and it's dependent on the amp. The 1200.1 will do that entire range, while the T500.2 is only stable to 4 ohms bridged.

I would look into profile amps...they are relatively cheap and perform pretty well....

my buddy has a 500/1 on his..i dont thinka 1000/1 would be neccesary at all..his sub is prolly getting around 350 watts and it hits amazing for an 8..its in the JL H.O box too if your looking for good boxes id say that

I've installed several California-series amps...while it's not high-end by any means, as long as you keep it under clipping it'll be fine if he doesn't have a lot of money right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif They generally seem to do rated power, or very close to it. Not flea market level.

Most amps will do the trick if you keep them out of clipping, but how many self installed vehicles have you seen come in your shop that dont have their gains maxed out or their amps routinely clipped? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif We had a 13w7 come in being powered off of an audiobahn amp. It sounded beautiful until my co'installer' sent it into clipping....grrrr
