L7 8" or Nice Sealed 10"

I've looked over all of my options and unless someone makes a GOOD 12 that would do well in a .683CuFt enclosure and a mount depth of around 5.5-6" I'm going to have to go smaller. (But if you know of a 12 that fits the above description, please reply //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif ).

So, I'm thinking of either going with 1 Kicker Solo Baric 8" L7 in around a .5 CuFt sealed box with 400RMS going to it, or getting a 10". Both sealed.

So what would play louder, but still sound good? The one L7 8" in a sealed box with 400RMS OR a 10" in a .656CuFt sealed enclosure?

If the 10 would be better, I need some recommendations so please pass them along.

Ive got 2 2005 L5 10's (which ive been told their preetty much same as L7's) getting .77 CuFt to each woofer and it pounds..dont know if this will help but just my $.02

I told you just do a 8 sealed up in there. Depending on how deep you can fit at the bottom, I have a ported truck box for a 10" sub. I can cut it out to square if you want to put a solobaric in it.

I don't know that a ported 10" box would fit. The bottom depth can be no more than 8.5" max, and about 5.5" for the top. Width can be no more than 18" and height no more than 14.5". It'd be kind of an ackward shape, but if it'd fit in an area that size I'll take it. The back of the cab has a bracket to hang the pole to let the spare tire down with and it's in the way so height messes me up for that spot.

I would put two 8" solobarics back there but that's an 800w amp I'll have to get to push them. But I'm guessing just one would put that RF Punch 1 8" I have to shame right?

Yea, thats not close to the box I have at all. IF you can fit tens and are willing to spend a little more, you can get 2 10 L5s at crutchfield for 200 shipped.

Not looking to spend over around 150 for the sub. I can probably fit one 10" in a box about the size I described, but an L5 would be starving for air in a .68CuFt sealed enclosure wouldn't it? Just mounting depth is the problem.

So maybe we can work on making a ported box for the L7 8".

One thing though is that I'm positive I can fit a box that would house two of the same subs I have now. But I don't know how tha'd sound.

The 10L7 has a min. sealed box of .66, I would think the L5 would be a little less if not the same. Also its mounting depth is 6". I would think about buying one of the L5s off of you maybe...

Alright, we can work something out then. I'd let the other one go at a price that's good to both. It'll be a little while though, there's a couple other things I have to get out of the way before I get it, but I've got a little MDF here, prolly a 2x2' piece of .75" thick. Really, all I'd need you to do is make the cuts and I'd do the rest.
