Hi, Im thinking about going with 3 12w3v2s in a sealed box... but I have reservations about this. I tried a 10W6v2, a RF T112, Alpine Type-R 12' in there in a sealed box, and the bass output was POOR -- Not even close to good. They were not loud at all... My walkman has more bass.

Anyways, is there some kind of other reason for this? Ported boxes sound fine, but when I seal subs in my vehicle it just craps right out....

well.. go with 2 12w6v2s in a ported box.. if you want jl.. or w7s

ported boxes have more output than sealed

your doing something wildly wrong if none of those subs were mildly loud at all, even if they were sealed.

if your stuck on the W3, wait a couple months and get the W3v3's when they come out.

I dont think there was anythign wrong... Boxes were all built to thier sealed specs, power is fine from the amp....

I beleive seriously that it has something to do with my vehicle... the way it reacts to sealed boxes for some reason is crazy...

I mean, ported boxes get loud, really loud, as soon as i plop it in a sealed box (which is made to spec, no leaks, perfect in every way) it dies...

Is there some scientific reasoning for something like this?

I had 2 12's a long time ago in a back seat of a dodge dakota sealed, and man it pounded... but for some reason with 1 12 in this vechile its just the shitz.

Hey, I got a pair of these for sell. They put out good spl. Sql is good compared to other subs I've owned. I'm upgrading to 15's or 18's. PM me if your looking for some still, and how much you want to spend.
