L7 15" real deal or is this a fake?

as far as ive been reading so far, that amp is one of the new line (of which i am also the proud owenr haha) and supposedly that 1605d is the old bx1800d, the 1205d is the old bx1500d, etc. which means (i really hope) that hifonics corrected their RMS ratings for 05.

SO, keeping in mind that your new amp hopefully does the actual 1600 rms, two L7 15s would perform very well with 800 rms a pop.

however, i forgot what you said your limit on space is. can you fit two L7 12s ported? cause i think the 12s ported in the same size box as the 2 15s would give you like 3 dbs, which is a pretty nice increase. and im sure they can handle 800 rms each.

This is true, (thank you for reading my thread btw) it is the new amp but I'll tell you Im alittle skeptical on it doing an actual 1600 rms @ 1 ohm

Polecat suggested the 1 15" ported would be louder (?) (I think that's what he said) I'd be willing to do 2 12"s ported also. but even *THAT* might be cutting it kinda close. (each sub would need about 2.5^3 )

if you want to keep it under 5 cubes go with the 15 for sure. its a loud *** sub ( i think im gonna get one soon) and im sure youll like it.

heres the problem. i would really be surprised if it got a lot louder than that ava 18 you had. you have 1600 watts, which is nice, but i dont thinks its enough to really be heard for 8 blocks (more like two //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif).. i wanted insane bass too when i first got into this latest project but found out in a hurry that you need TONS of power and space. and with power comes a new alternator, and if you get into something with that much power, odds are itll take more than 5 cubes and cost more than 500 bucks.

i hate to say it liek that but really man youre pretty **** limited.

the L7 might be your best bet (get the dual 4 by the way for sure cause 1600 wrms is too much).

my friend has 2 12" kicker comps with 100 watts each in a sealed box and we could hear him comin down the block. odds are youre louder coming than you think you are.

i dont think the guy who said bandpass was kidding before. a couple high power audiobahns in a bandpass woudl be really loud for sure, they just sound liek crap and prolly break after a year or less...

just buy the L7.. if thats not close to loud enough (which it shoul dbe) then youre gonna need to spean a retarded amount of money findng stuff that is.

Yea and this is what is scaring me.. my ava i think, *personally* was starved for space, 5.2^ cubes is not enough for that sub... Also I think the low tune freq had something to do with it (28hz) should of had the sub ported @ 33 -35hz.

yes, I was/am prepared to spend more money which is why i mentioned the apx 15 and the orion 2500 odessy 2150 battery and the whole 9 yards, *if* I can avoid it however I'd like to ... I think the proper size box with a higher tune (higher than 28 hz) should work..

Yea since pole cat seems to hate my tread now, one thing about the dual 4's is I can always try 1 sealed, then port it....
