IMO hell no. They shine in ported boxes.

x2 to the guy above me, i love my 2 l7's, i've heard a setup with 2 10 inch l5's in a trunk, it was only running off 750 RMS and still got pretty loud, i think it'd sound awesome in a truck.

im also wondering what the difference is between L5 and L7....im trying to find some 15s and i've narrowed it down to one of the two....anyone help with the difference? i had 1 12inch L5 black cone in a 1.5cube sealed box in my old toyota truck and it was really loud

i wouldnt mind knowing sound diff as well,

I'm running 2 Black cone L5 in a 6 cube box in my trunk atm powered by a 1200rms amp. and wondered if L7s with a little more power would give me noticable differences.

I have 2 12 L5s 3.5 ft^3 powered by an under rated MB quart Raa1000 in my s-10 ext cab. they flex my roof and make my cd player skip on some songs. love them. two major differences is power handling and the basket. The L7 has double the power handling and an aluminum basket, the L5, stamped steel, handles less power...now this will change in '06.
