I told you the RE's were shit and that you should save some money up for something better but you didnt listen.

Not really, I had them on a 1200W amp and they were a combined 700W. 500W difference. I thought I had the gains down enough, but I was wrong. They sounded orgasmic though, went down to the mid 20's without breaking a sweat, and they took the abuse for a good deal of time before they blew.

the 2 re 12's i have take 500 thermally no problem but the huge low tuned ported box i have them kill the mech. power handling. i bet you blew the coil out of the gap because ive seen mine do crazy things in my ht lol i even had the coil hit the back plate once

My box was 3.00, that's not too big for two 12's ported at all...
