KX1200 or VFL 150.1 HELP please

It's not like I was clipping it or anything, and it was in a normal run of the mill sealed box. I just say "blah" at the new stuff. I stopped liking it when they came out with the silver subs, they may bang and be badass, but personally I think they are just too ugly. Again, just my opinion. I am not a sub expert, don't claim to be, just have used a lot of different subs, and I used to like the Kicker subs.

Are they gonna change them back to the older look or some other look than the, what I call "Fast and Furious" look? Rice burners are kind of old news these days and I think it's time to change the Kicker subs back to looking decent. You can keep the extra structural rigidity that the new crazy looking dustcap may provide, but please make the subs look better? Please? I am asking nicely. I don't know if that many people really like the look or just like the performance/value of the Kicker subs. I think some people may buy them, not liking the way they look, but liking the performance of them. So why not make them look decent too? You would sell more IMHO.

because you don't know how many we sale, now, or back then....and i do. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I agree with DB-R the older Kicker stuff was way more durable. I mean I have a set of 12" CompVR (1999) That are still pounding hard as the day I got them. Hell I just sold a set of 12" Kicker Comps (1995-1997) That still sound like the day they where built. But now with the new stuff I have gone through like 8 12" CVRs and 10 10" CVRs. And its not the amp cause everytime I blow a set I throw the Older kickers in until I get a replacement and I pound them harder then the newer stuff and Have no Problems whatsoever...

Here is a suggestion that I think you guys at Kicker should listen to.. LONGER TINSEL LEADS OR WOVEN IN THE SPIDER. I tear every set.

Thanks alot DEVOTED KICKER FAN

I really liked my old kicker subs too.. I have owned at least all of the older series, the C-8, C-10, C-12, C-15, C-18, some of those were 8 ohm, some were 4 ohm, and more recently the Comp 15" and CompVR 15", and now I have a brand new set of unused, 02S10L54, 10" Solobaric subs, dual 4 ohm, and I really want to put them in my truck with a SAZ-1500D, In my opinion these were the last of the kicker line that looked halfway decent... I just hate that new silver funky rice-burner looking sub they have now... why not just make it all black with a gold Kicker logo or something like the old ones, I think it would be awesome, but Polecast says it won't sell... or says the new ones sell better than the old ones, I just don't know about that, but that's what he said...

Is there some way to get a re-cone for my CompVR 15" subs? They are like 2001 models I think, I am not 100% sure, I melted the sticker off the back a long time ago... I have 2 of them, one may still have the sticker, I would like to have both of them working and I will stick no more than like 500 watts on each one this time... I guess that's all they were rated for anyway, not sure as I said, the sticker came off...

Hell, I think I even had some C-6.5's and I had a couple sets of D-20 tweeters, they sounded great, but I kept having to take the tweeter apart and unwrap wire from the coil and put it back together to make them work again... Everytime I cranked up the Metallica too loud I burned the wire in half... Those were the good ole days... LOL

****, I think may even still have some of the kicker brochures, which was more like a flyer if I remember right from back in the day with the old pre-boxed sub packages in it, I think they were called like SS-12 etc... I rememeber a classmate had the Kicker 12" truck boxes and a Kenwood KAC-1020 or KAC-1021 and it banged like nothing I ever heard before back then....LOL again...

I just bought a used KX 2500.1 and it pumps out the watts. I don't get why DBR is so harsh on kicker products. I've had nothing but good experiences with them, and have friends who abuse the products, and still keep working.

I think the silver flashy cones do appeal more to the younger customers, and kicker of course is going to target certain demographics and make money. It's called a business fyi.

Besides in my own experiences, their products have been very reliable. From comp 12's, to cvr 12's, to cvr 15's, to l7 12's, and 300.1zx, 1250.1sx, and now my 2500.1 kx, i have nothing but good things to say.

Not to say i dont like other brands, but I am very partial to kicker.
