ks6.5s .. fit in a 6.75?

as title states.. wanting to know if they'll work? I have two mags that say they will and several websites list them as 6 1/2" / 6 3/4" both.. so i'm a tad confused and getting ready to buy a set, someone let me know

will something thats 6.5" fit in something larger thats 6.75"

.. if it's listed to fit in both, I want to know why.. does it come with hardware allowing it to do so, etc.. I don't think i'd buy them if they didn't actually fit. crutchfield also lists they fit..
