ive ordered my recone recently and i had to give them a serial number as well. old ass basket so i found one off of the dd packaging box.

I think it's dumb to turn away a potential sale/customer like that.

If they don't have a serial, fine, sell it to them with no DD logo on the cone, and no warranty on the recone. Still making the money.

they dont sell recones to just anyone its always been that way at dd only dealers or good customers get to buy recones all others have to send the subs in for recones.

Well, lets draw this out and go REAL slow so you can understand. A recone is making DD a whole $20.00 to $30.00 a piece. A DD subwoofer is marked up lets say about 100% from cost for dealers. So, lets ASSUME that DD would like to stay in business and make money and that they are making more then $20.00 to $30.00 a subwoofer. To stay in business you need to make a profit and selling better parts to a crap company that knocked off you Dads subwoofers (Audio Que) and only making a whole $20.00 to sell a RETARD a recone (that they are going to come back to a forum and B*TCH about later) is not going to keep you in business. In my opinion, if you have to ask more then once on a forum about this, then you are not smart enough to buy a recone in the first place.

And just to let you know.... I am not a fan of DD in the first place. I think they are over priced to the end buyer, sorry customer service, and they let there Distributors **** everyone in EUROPE !! DD = Double Dollar

everything in the market is way overpriced, cars, furnitures, houses etc... If its too expensive dont buy it, its just like everything else, your buying the name/quality. Every manufacture explodes there costs on pretty much anything you purchase. BTW, that was one of the reasons I went the AQ route.

DD is very wierd about recones, 1 the 9500Gs dont have serials, at least mine didnt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. They are rather tight on the 3500 series recones as they did have serials from the beginning.

My guess is that they just didnt wanna sell you a recone

I'm not that stupid. When they asked for the serial number, I told them I was going to buy a blown 95g and wanted to know pricing for a recone before purchasing a blown sub.

The DD Dealer prices are pretty good. What Dealers charge is not !! Most of there Dealers charge well over 100% on there mark up. And the European Distributors are crazy for what they charge. So, the Dealer gets what they pay for and every one else gets something that is over priced !! I don't know what Team Members pay and don't ask or p.m. me for the dealer prices !!
